Give N50,000 only to a secondary school dropout, he will buy stove, a frying pan, cooking oil and others to start indomie joint business. In just three years the young man will own a plot of land worth 1 million, a wife, a tokumbo car, a TV, sofa, bed etc in his one bedroom house. Give one million to most university graduates, they will buy Samsung Galaxy phones, several pairs of skinny jeans, take their numerous girlfriends out, take selfies and post them on Facebook and Instagram. After three years, they will still be buying indomie on debt from the secondary dropout guy and paying rent or staying in their papa house. Somehow this is true..... question is: Does education excerbrate gullibility and STUPIDITY?
What people learn in school can be places to be former education or simply academic training. To be innovative, manage money and multiply it with right business ideas and risk taking goes beyond what its though in our schools.
Another thing is that most if so called graduate are full of themselves at graduation until life teaches most lessons to be unable and understand the reality of economy which is different from their views on campus.
For example a fresh graduate may be offered a job with N30,000/month and reject it with boost of been a graduate not a joke nah....That same graduate will gladly receive job offer of double task with pay of N25,000/month after 5 years off campus when he/she has suffered and then learn the hard way to discovered that its not just about the certificate or what you went through to have it. It indeed goes beyond it.
